At Brown Amour Melbourne, we take pride in the quality of our products and want every customer to have a positive shopping experience.
If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may be eligible for a return, exchange, or refund in accordance with this Refund Policy and the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

This Policy outlines your rights and our obligations regarding returns and refunds.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return or refund, the following conditions must be met:

  • The return request must be made within 30 days of receiving your order.

  • The item must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in its original packaging with all tags attached.

  • Proof of purchase (such as an order confirmation or receipt) must be provided.

If these conditions are not met, we reserve the right to refuse the return or issue store credit instead of a refund.

3. Change of Mind

If you have changed your mind or the item does not fit as expected, we are happy to accept a return within 30 days of delivery.
In such cases:

  • The item must meet the eligibility criteria stated above.

  • The customer may be responsible for return shipping costs, unless the product is faulty or not as described.

Refunds for change-of-mind returns will be processed once the returned item has been received and inspected.

4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

Under the Australian Consumer Law, customers are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if the product is:

  • faulty or damaged,

  • not as described,

  • or does not perform as advertised.

If you receive a faulty or incorrect product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@brownamourmelbourne.com with photos of the issue.
We will assess your claim and provide instructions for returning or replacing the item at no cost to you.

5. Refund Process

Once your returned item is received and inspected, you will receive an email confirming the outcome.
Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider’s processing times.

If your refund is delayed, please first check with your bank or payment provider, as processing times may vary.

6. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items cannot be returned or refunded, including:

  • earrings and jewellery,

  • underwear or lingerie,

  • items marked as “final sale” or “clearance”.

These exceptions do not affect your statutory rights under Australian law.

7. Exchanges

We currently offer exchanges for eligible items of equal value, subject to stock availability.
If the requested replacement item is unavailable, you will receive a refund or store credit.

8. Return Shipping

  • For change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for return postage.

  • For faulty or incorrect items, Brown Amour Melbourne will cover all reasonable return shipping costs.

We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot be held responsible for returns lost in transit.

9. Refund Denials

We reserve the right to refuse refunds or returns if:

  • the item is not returned in its original condition,

  • the return period has expired,

  • or there is insufficient proof of purchase.

In such cases, the customer will be notified and offered a store credit instead of a refund, where appropriate.

10. Your Rights Under Australian Law

Nothing in this Policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).
If your product has a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and for minor issues, we will repair or replace the item.
